Welcome

My perspective

My primary goal as a therapist is to create an open, empowering, and creative atmosphere wherein clients can gain comfort in self-expression.

I firmly believe therapy is most effective when there is a collaborative relationship based on trust, curiosity, and growth.

I make sure to view each client as a whole person, taking into account variables of diversity, such as family background, culture, ethnicity, age, and race, in order to achieve a holistic and comprehensive perspective.

Therapy Style

  • Psychological Theory.

As a result of my artistic background , I conceptualize the field of psychology as both an art and a science.

From an artistic perspective, I believe the therapist must be flexible and creative in constructing a comfortable environment and tailoring conceptualizations and interventions specifically to each client.

Drawing from science, psychology is grounded in research and I strive to provide clients with empirically-supported treatments.

  • Therapeutic Orientation.

I am an integrative therapist with a solid foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapies, (especially dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)  and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)), and interpersonal therapy.

I have extensive training in ACT and a strong affinity for mindfulness techniques as well as other anxiety-reducing strategies.

I make sure to view each client as a whole person, taking into account variables of diversity, such as family background, culture, ethnicity, age, and race, in order to achieve a holistic and comprehensive perspective.
